Remember when what you did meant more than what you said? Remember when you actually did stuff instead of just talking about it or arguing about or debating it or making fun of it?
If you are still mistakenly living by the mantra "actions speak louder than words", you may want to listen up! That fun little proverb is actually based on ratio. At the time when the proverb became, well, a proverb, people did 3X more than they said.
Therefore, their actions were speaking louder (3X louder) than their words. Unfortunately for modern society, we average 1,000X more words than actions. As you can see, there are a lot more words than actions and, therefore, your words are speaking more than your actions.
Between Facebook, Twitter, Newsvine, Bluetooth, and texting - you couldn't do enough community service to erase the trolling you've done on the CNN comment section! As a matter of fact, you'd have to join a convent and take a vow of silence for the next 20 years to even break even!
This may surprise you, but the term "Cyber Bully" didn't even exist when the guy who first said "actions speak louder than words" said it. In the old days, you had to do something to bully someone.
So, just because you've never pushed someone out of a wheelchair or tripped someone in the hallway or cut someone off in the line at Starbucks -- it's still very possible that you are an ugly person.
Congratulations.
